The goal of the Development Office is to advance the mission of St. Peter’s is to build a sense of community and commitment throughout Saint Peter’s Parish & School family. The results of achieving that goal will be evidenced in lasting friendships and financial support.
The Development Office oversees the following philanthropic endeavors:
The Annual Fund is a request for unrestricted gifts to provide financial aid to families who want their children to receive a Catholic education. Beyond tuition assistance, the Annual Fund will provide additional flexibility to provide funds to other areas of school operations during the fiscal year. Money raised each year is used during the following fiscal year. On average, St. Peter’s provides full or partial tuition assistance to 50-80 families.
Fundraising Programs: The Development Office oversees all fundraising activities on behalf of St. Peter’s. This includes major fundraisers like the Fall Gala – Silent & Live Auction, Easter Bake Sale and Annual Golf Outing. All fundraisers at the parish and school must be approved by the Development Office.
The Monsignor Edward C. Dunn Foundation for Education is St. Peter’s endowment fund which serves as a means of ensuring a revenue stream to St. Peter’s School in perpetuity. Currently, 4% of the market value of the assets of the Foundation is directed to the support of teachers’ salaries annually. In addition to the general fund, there are several funds in the Foundation that target a specific purpose.
